A word about using public toilets in Estonia. A tiangle pointing down is for men, while the triangle pointing up is for women. Can be somewhat embarrassing if you get this wrong!

Currently you can find the Tourist Information Office at: Uus tänav 4, Pärnu - website www.visitparnu.com - Estonia has one of the best, if not the best, WiFi and internet services in the world. You will find free internet access just about anywhere. Look for the orange and black WiFi sign and all systems are go.

Air - Pärnu has an airport for pilots flying small planes only.

Estonia's International Airport at Tallinn is only about 20 minutes walk from the city centre. It is a very modern building but quite small for a capital city airport. A bus service, No 2, runs very frequently to and from the city centre and costs 2EUR. The usual taxis are available to take you to where ever you wish to go. For car rental services, these are located on the lower floor in the terminal building.

Train - Pärnu's railway station is a covered platform that is quite far from the centre of the city - it is located behind the K-Rauta hardware store at Papiniidu 2a. There are two trains to Tallinn daily and they take longer than the buses. You can buy tickets from an agent on the train using cash or card.
